loveliest of trees the cherry now

Photobucket Photobucket

Loveliest of trees, the cherry now
Is hung with bloom along the bough,
And stands about the woodland ride
Wearing white for Eastertide.

Oh, Emily! These photos are stunning. That cherry blossom lined street much be quite the vision in real life!

Your A.E. Housman quote has reminded me that I have yet to read the copy of A Shropshire Lad I scooped up at a book sale a few summers ago! So many books, so little time.

@Annebeth: They won't last long in Germany with the weather either. It was literally snowing blossoms when we first arrived!

Our cherry blossoms are long gone {sniff, sniff}, but they were SO BEAUTIFUL while they lasted! Those are some stunning photos of you - possibly some of my favorite ever (or, at least since I've been coming regularly to your blog). :-) And one more thing - love your hair.

omg that is amazingly beautiful!! is it like that everywhere in germany or Bonn has especially a lot of those trees? I've never seen anything like that with the whole street lined. your little white dress goes perfectly too, love when you're throwing the petals - glad you enjoyed this! & thanks for the feedback on your last comment & don't worry, you're never just talking to yourself : )

lovely photos, as always. i think you have a perfectly photogenic life :) UM and i just saw your twitter feed on the side re: mad men style drama set in the roaring twenties and i've totally started writing the pilot and have a season mapped out... mostly about sound/talkies in the twenties, but also just about the crazy parties and people! i probably won't ever finish it though; there is too much research to be done...

Pretty as a picture :) I love cherry blossom trees - they're the best thing about spring. And I love that they get almost a whole season to themselves to showcase their beauty! Your dress is gorgeous in these pics and certainly gives the cherry blossoms a run for their money :)

I saw one of your photos on tumblr and all I could think was, "that's Bonn!" Ah, how I miss the cherry trees in Spring. I lived in the old town for a short while and I was lucky to witness the blossoms every day that year. This just brings back those memories. Ah, enough about me! I adore your dress, it's so sweet an innocent. The photos are so perfectly carefree. Also, the little stars in your hair are such a wonderful touch!
